I dont usually do this
but thought I would blog our little holiday away. We had such a nice time.
On the weekend before we left
Friday night- In laws arrived from the Cape and we had our traditional fish and chips night.
Saturday-
First we fitted Carmen's smocked dress MIL made- she diidn't want to put it on at first- then we couldn't get it of her LOL
DH and FIL went to the Sat stamp show in Pretoria- and made quite a bit of money. Which was very welcome.
Went to the shops with MIL to look for plain black shoes for Andrew- almost an impossible task. Most shoes for his age has some sort of logo on,but we found something in the end.
Then we went to do some grocery shopping, where we met up with my BIL who had just arrived with his fiance from the Cape. They just said a quick hallo and dashed of again on their way to Nelspruit.
MIL insisted on buying some toys for the kids so we schlepped all the way to the other side of the shopping centre and bought Andrew (another!) nice set of lego. Carmen got some bath toys.
Took evreyone back home, unpacked shopping. Let the kids have a nap.
When evreyone woke up we went for a nice walk in the botanical gardens. I managed to let the kids run their excess energy of :)
Came back, FIL and DH pitched, made some dinner did the normal nightime routine with kids.
Sunday- Went to my mom to pick up Andrews suit which she shortened for him.In laws came for dinner.
Monday- Run around in the morning doing BIG shopping, packing bags for me and kids. In the afternoon In laws arrived with BIL who had just landed from Germany. We got some takeaways for dinner.
Tuesday- We left for White River around 8:30. Stopped at Millies for lunch- very cold and windy. The kids travel fairly well, although Andrew did decide that we could now turn around to go back home.PMSL
We were invited for dinner with BIL's fiance's family, but it was a long day for the kids- so I elected to stay and look after them.DH went out with the family. I'm quite glad I didn't take the kids out as it turned out to be quite cold.
Wednesday- we went to the Kruger Park and had a lovely time. BIL from Germany enjoyed himself immensly- he hasn't been to the park for years.
Thursday- Day of the wedding- It was a lovely warm day and the wedding was held in a quant little stone church. There was only 30 guests and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. Andrew was ring bearer, but was overwhelmed by all the people so DH had to help a bit ;)
The bride and groom looked lovely. The reception was held at the lodge we stayed. It was really a lovely wedding. One to be remembered.
Friday- saw another day in the Park and a LEOPARD.
Sat- Carmen's birthday and trip back.
Sunday- The whole family including my mom and dad came for lunch to celebrate Carmen's birthday-which she promptly slept through.LOL
In laws left to take BIL to airport at around 4- my mom and dad did not stay long after that.
What a relaxing time we had. :)

Haven't posted in a while
Haven't been here in a while. For now the dieting thing isn't working for me. I basically eat what I want. I've bought some lovely new clothes though- and look very nice. If I may say so myself :)
I still need to get an outfit for the wedding of the year. So will go hunting soon. I have invested in one of those corset bra things- It makes you look like you've lost 5 kg's- Brilliant!!
I'm also going to do one of thos dreamwrap things- there's a mobile therpist that comes to your house in our area- to do it.
I know I should eat less- but right now- it's not working. So I'll just dress better!! :))

Verdict on the diet
So I have finished with this diet. The diet that everyone talks about. I wasn't really for me- I dont like to be so restricted in my food choices. Also having a weigh in every week actually makes me binge more, and binge on things like chocolates and stuff. I know of a lot of people that has found this a very good diet but it's just not for me. Having said that- if I lose momentum again, I'll definetly join Weight Watchers- cause weigh ins weekly work for about 4-6 weeks for me- then I start to resent it.
I'm now reading the Greek Doctors diet. I read it last year but I think I am going to try and incorporate it into my daily eating. You have red meat about twice a week, lentils and beans- which is very good for digestion. It has been praised because it is a more balanced approach to eating.

Takeover my makeover
Full Length Tuesday 08052007
I bought this top years ago and still quite like it. The pants are black with an elasticed waist. I bought this when I was pregnant. Still wearing it . I'm too lazy to go buy other pants, but I realy prefer non elasticed waitband with bootleg pants

Shoes Tuesday 08052007
The shoes is like a half boot. When you stand it looks like you have a full boot on.

Week 8
Haven't been here a while, cause I lost motivation, but I decided yesterday- I must carry on!! So yesterday I had no carbs!! Ye- and it actually went quite well!!
My forum buds have kindly offered to help me do a make-over for myself- soI'm taking pics of my clothes everyday so they can get an idea of what I have in my cupboard.
Must say this has really focused my mind on myself and my look. I even pulled out my notes from the make-up session I went to a few years ago.
